St Matthew's is located to the West of the city centre, in Sumerhill Street (by 'the Big Lamp'), close to the traffic light junction where Elswick Road meets Westgate Road. In both the colour and black and white editions of the Newcastle upon Tyne A-Z we are to be found on page 60, grid reference A2.
